YUMA, Ariz. (Interstat) — The Arizona Western Matadors defeated the Central Arizona Vaqueros 86-62 in a men’s junior college basketball game Saturday. The Matadors established a commanding 48-27 lead by the end of the first quarter and maintained control throughout. Arizona Western’s efficient offense, shooting 49 percent from the floor, proved decisive. Illiam Fevry led the Matadors with 10 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. Nathan Wanjohi scored 16 points for Central Arizona in the loss. Arizona Western improved to 17-6, while Central Arizona fell to 7-16.
