TYLER, Texas (Interstat) — The Tyler Apaches defeated the Navarro Bulldogs 89-68 in a men’s junior college basketball game Wednesday night. Tyler established a dominant first-half lead, scoring 42 points in the opening quarter and 47 in the second to take a commanding 89-68 advantage by halftime. Navarro managed 30 points in the first quarter and 38 in the second but could not close the gap after the break, as neither team scored in the second half. The win improves Tyler’s overall record to 10-8, while Navarro falls to 10-12. Tyler also avenged an earlier season loss to the Bulldogs from December.
