WACO, Texas (Interstat) — The McLennan Highlanders defeated the Weatherford Coyotes 66-58 in a men’s junior college basketball game Wednesday night. McLennan improved to 13-1 overall, while Weatherford fell to 7-13.

The Highlanders used a strong second quarter to pull away, outscoring the Coyotes 35-25 after the teams were nearly even in the first. Weatherford shot just 38.5% from the floor and committed 12 turnovers. Josiah Coleman led the Coyotes with 16 points. Bol Dhieu added 14 points and Andre Bennett scored 12.

McLennan, which had a 90.9% win probability according to Interstat’s ELO system, swept the regular-season series after a Jan. 10 victory.
