WEATHERFORD, Texas (Interstat) — Ranger avenged a January loss by holding off Weatherford 66-61 in a men’s junior college basketball game Wednesday. The visiting Rangers built a 35-24 lead after the first quarter but had to withstand a second-half rally from the Coyotes, who outscored them 37-31 after the opening period. The result improved Ranger to 11-15 on the season, while Weatherford fell to 9-16. The outcome defied pregame projections that heavily favored the Coyotes at home.
