McCook Indians Outlast Lamar in High-Scoring Junior College Affair
McCOOK, Neb. (Interstat) — The McCook Indians avenged a loss from two weeks prior, defeating the Lamar Runnin’ Lopes 101-90 in a men’s junior college basketball game Wednesday night. McCook improved to 10-10 overall, while Lamar fell to 8-12.
In a rematch of a Jan. 21 contest won by Lamar, this outing became an offensive showcase. McCook used a 55-point second half to pull away after leading 46-47 at halftime. Key performances fueled the Indians’ victory, led by Lukas Gudavicius and Vladimir Brkovic. Shay-Den Yarde and RJ Foreman paced the Runnin’ Lopes in the loss. The win split the season series between the teams.
