LUFKIN, Texas (Interstat) — The Angelina Roadrunners edged the Lee College Runnin’ Rebels 58-54 in a men’s junior college basketball game Wednesday night. Angelina used a 33-point second quarter to overcome a one-point halftime deficit.

Salyn Briggs led Lee with 16 points, while Moh Tounkara added 13 points and nine rebounds. Jordan Mathews paced Angelina with 11 points. The Roadrunners capitalized on a decisive rebounding edge, 35-23, and committed only two turnovers. Angelina improved to 10-9 overall, while Lee fell to 9-8.
