ROBINSON, Ill. (Interstat) — The Vincennes Trailblazers held off the Lincoln Trail Statesmen 65-60 in a men’s junior college basketball game Wednesday night.

Vincennes, now 17-1, built a halftime lead despite a high-scoring first quarter from Lincoln Trail. The Trailblazers led 30-34 after a period where both offenses were efficient, but extended their advantage by outscoring the Statesmen 35-26 before the break. Lincoln Trail, falling to 5-6, could not complete a second-half comeback.

The result defied a pregame statistical projection that forecast a much higher-scoring affair. Vincennes maintained its strong season record with the road victory.
