Triton vs Kennedy-King

Preview: Triton at Kennedy-King in Junior College Men’s Basketball

CHICAGO (Interstat) — The Triton Trojans and Kennedy-King Statesmen will meet for the second time this season in a men’s junior college basketball game Tuesday night.

Triton (8-7) enters with momentum from a 77-71 home victory over Southeastern on Saturday. Kennedy-King (3-7) looks to rebound from a 76-60 home loss to Kankakee that same day.

The Trojans won the first meeting this season, 83-74 at home on Nov. 18. In that game, Triton guard Matt Sullivan was held to nine points. Sullivan has since emerged as a key scorer, coming off a 25-point performance in a loss at Indian Hills on Jan. 13.

Overall, Triton has won three of its last five games. Kennedy-King has lost four of its last five, with its lone win in that stretch an 83-72 victory at Richard J. Daley on Dec. 13.

Despite the records, Interstat’s game simulator projects a high-scoring deadlock, forecasting a 100-100 final score.

For Kennedy-King, the game opens a challenging stretch of four consecutive road contests. Triton will look to build a winning streak before hosting Richard J. Daley next Tuesday.

Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. Central time at Kennedy-King College.
