MELBOURNE, Fla. (Interstat) — The Eastern Florida State Titans defeated the Hillsborough Hawks 94-79 in a men’s junior college basketball game Saturday. The host Titans used a potent first-half offensive display, scoring 41 points in the opening quarter and 53 in the second to build a decisive lead. The Hawks kept pace early with 28 first-quarter points but could not close the gap after halftime. The victory improved Eastern Florida State’s overall record to 10-6, while Hillsborough fell to 4-5. Key individual performances fueled the Titans’ win. The teams are scheduled to meet again on Feb. 21 in Hillsborough.
