Coffeyville vs Pratt
COFFEYVILLE, Kan. (Interstat) — A surging Coffeyville team will look to capitalize on a favorable matchup when the Ravens visit the struggling Pratt Beavers in a men’s junior college basketball game Saturday.
The Ravens (9-4) enter having won three of their last four, including a decisive 84-73 victory over State Fair on Jan. 3. Their most recent outing was a 77-93 loss at Hutchinson on Wednesday, despite a strong performance from guard Jack Sorrell, who posted 19 points, nine rebounds and six assists.
Sorrell has been a consistent force for Coffeyville, averaging 12 points, five rebounds and four assists over his last three games. His versatility will be a primary focus for a Pratt defense that has struggled throughout the season.
The Beavers (1-11) snapped a 10-game losing streak with a narrow 71-67 road win at Colby on Wednesday. Guard Hunter Vaughn led the way with a season-high 22 points. Vaughn’s scoring is critical for Pratt, though his production has fluctuated, as he was held to just three points in a loss to Cloud County on Jan. 3.
Pratt’s season has been defined by close defeats, including four losses by five points or fewer. Defensive consistency has been an issue, with opponents averaging 82 points per game.
Coffeyville’s balanced attack, which features secondary scorers like Ke’Bari Lewis (15 points vs. Hutchinson), will test that defense. The Ravens have shown the ability to win on the road, boasting a 3-2 record away from home compared to Pratt’s 1-6 mark at home.
Historically, the Ravens have dominated the recent series, winning the last five meetings by an average of 18 points. The Beavers will aim to build on the momentum from their first win and leverage home court to keep this contest competitive.
Tip-off is set for Saturday, Jan. 10, 2026, at the Beaver Dome in Pratt.
