Winless Teams Clash as Andrew Hosts Southern Crescent in Junior College Matchup

COCHRAN, Ga. (Interstat) — Two men’s junior college basketball teams seeking their first victory of the season will meet Saturday when the Andrew Fighting Tigers host the Southern Crescent Tigers.

The game, scheduled for Jan. 10, 2026, at Andrew College, features a pair of programs with identical 0-0 records in Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association play but a combined 0-8 mark across all competitions this season.

Andrew (0-3) is coming off an 88-51 road loss to Albany Tech on Wednesday. The Fighting Tigers have struggled defensively in their early outings, allowing an average of 90.7 points per game. A player to watch for the home team is Elijah Hightower, though he was limited to just one minute of action in the most recent contest.

Southern Crescent (0-5) has faced a brutal non-conference slate, with its last outing a 112-70 home loss to Walters State on Dec. 13. In that game, Mouhamed Mbodj led the Tigers with 11 points, four rebounds and four assists in 20 minutes. Khaven Coachran added a team-high 16 points, and Nicholas Mason scored 12. The Tigers have lost their games by an average margin of 41.2 points.

Despite the lopsided results, Interstat’s game simulator projects a dead-even contest, forecasting a 100-100 final score.

This matchup begins a critical stretch of conference play for both squads. Andrew will look to build momentum before hosting Georgia Highlands on Jan. 17. Southern Crescent continues its road swing, next visiting Gordon State on Jan. 14.

The teams are scheduled to meet again in a rematch at Southern Crescent on Saturday, Feb. 7.

Tipoff is set for 3 p.m. EST at Andrew College’s Hord Athletic Center.
