WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (Interstat) — The Florida Southwestern State Buccaneers defeated the Polk State Eagles 95-81 in a men’s junior college basketball game Wednesday night.

The Buccaneers improved to 9-3 overall behind a balanced offensive attack. Lamont Hartfield led all scorers with 19 points, while Tyler Bey added 17 and Amont’e Allen-Johnson scored 16. The Eagles, who fell to 1-8, kept pace early but could not overcome Florida Southwestern State’s consistent scoring across both halves.

The Buccaneers next host Hillsborough on Saturday. Polk State travels to Daytona State next Wednesday.
