SANTA FE, Fla. (Interstat) — The Santa Fe Saints edged the Polk State Eagles 83-78 in a junior college men’s basketball game Saturday. Santa Fe built a 48-45 halftime lead after a high-scoring first quarter. The Saints improved to 4-2 overall this season. The Eagles fell to 1-7. Interstat’s ELO system had projected Santa Fe with a 52.70 percent probability to win. Santa Fe next hosts Daytona State on Wednesday. Polk State hosts Florida Southwestern State the same night.
