El Camino vs Los Angeles City

LOS ANGELES (Interstat) — The El Camino Warriors, riding a three-game winning streak, will visit the struggling Los Angeles City Cubs in a California Community College Athletic Association men’s basketball game on Friday.

El Camino (6-2) enters with momentum following a 63-47 victory over Porterville on Nov. 26, powered by a 24-point performance from Kai Johnson. The Warriors’ only losses this season came against Grossmont and Fresno City.

Los Angeles City (1-6) snapped a six-game skid with its 62-50 win over Orange Coast on Nov. 21. Devean Mpoupe-Singui recorded 14 points and 16 rebounds in that victory, while Kye Usher-Brown scored a team-high 21 points.

The matchup pits El Camino’s balanced attack against a Cubs team seeking consistency. The Warriors have held opponents under 70 points in five of their six wins this season.

Friday’s contest is the first of a back-to-back for the Cubs, who travel to Oxnard on Saturday. El Camino’s next game is Dec. 11 against Barstow.
