HUTCHINSON, Kan. (Interstat) — The Hutchinson Blue Dragons defeated the Cloud County Thunderbirds 75-62 in a men’s junior college basketball game Saturday. Hutchinson improved to 7-5 overall, while Cloud County fell to 4-7.

The Blue Dragons built a 75-62 lead by halftime, outscoring the Thunderbirds 38-29 in the first quarter and 37-33 in the second. Cloud County could not close the gap after the intermission. Kyrell Shaw and Jonathan Ogunfuye led Hutchinson in the victory, with Kaidan Chatham pacing Cloud County.

Hutchinson was favored to win with a 72.5% probability according to Interstat’s ELO system. The Blue Dragons next play at Colby on Jan. 3, while Cloud County hosts Pratt the same day.
