(Interstat) — The Paris Dragons defeated the Coastal Bend Cougars 73-60 in a men’s junior college basketball game Saturday. Paris built a commanding 34-19 lead in the first quarter and maintained control throughout, despite being outscored 41-39 after halftime. The victory improved Paris’s overall record to 6-3, while Coastal Bend remained winless at 0-6. The result defied a pregame statistical projection that narrowly favored the home team.
