Casper vs Snow

EPHRAM, Utah (Interstat) — The Snow College Badgers, one of the nation’s remaining undefeated junior college men’s basketball teams, showcased their dominance from the opening tip, overwhelming the visiting Casper College Thunderbirds 103 to 68 on Saturday.

The game’s decisive stretch occurred almost immediately, setting a tone of utter control for the Badgers. After Casper’s Nasir Washington hit a jump shot just 39 seconds into the game to tie the score, Snow unleashed a devastating 18-3 run over the next three and a half minutes. The blitz was fueled by efficient offense and disruptive defense. McCaden Adams and Brock McClure hit early three-pointers, Aaron Bliss scored twice at the rim, and the Badgers forced the Thunderbirds into a series of rushed and missed shots. By the time Casper called a timeout with 15:10 remaining in the first quarter, they already trailed 20-5, a deficit from which they would never recover.

Snow’s offensive execution was clinical. The Badgers shot 52 percent from the floor and 46 percent from three-point range, amassing 55 points in the first quarter alone. They consistently generated high-percentage looks, outscoring Casper 62 to 26 in the paint and finishing with 17 offensive rebounds that led to 19 second-chance points. Defensively, Snow’s length and activity forced Casper into a 34 percent shooting night and 17 turnovers, which the Badgers converted into 23 points.

Brock McClure, Snow’s top star, led a balanced attack with a near triple-double, contributing 13 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in just 23 minutes. Sean Felts added 15 points, six rebounds and three blocks, while Blake Bahr scored 15 points with five assists. McCaden Adams and Kyle Lemke each chipped in 14 points.

For Casper, Aaron Sievert provided a bright spot with a game-high 22 points, including six three-pointers. Zaire Richardson finished with 14 points and nine rebounds, but the Thunderbirds struggled to find any consistent rhythm against Snow’s relentless pressure.

The victory extends Snow’s perfect record to 13 wins and 0 losses on the season, while Casper falls to 5 wins and 9 losses. The Badgers have now defeated the Thunderbirds twice this season, following a 89-73 win on Nov. 1.

Statistically, the game highlighted a stark efficiency gap. Snow scored 103 points on just 83 possessions, an offensive rating of 124.7, while Casper managed only 68 points on 88 possessions, a rating of 77.5. The Badgers also dominated the glass, outrebounding the Thunderbirds 54 to 38.

Snow will look to maintain its unblemished record when it hosts McCook on Thursday. Casper returns home to face Western Nebraska on Jan. 7.
