Casper vs Snow

Preview: Unbeaten Snow Hosts Casper in NJCAA Showdown

EPHRAIM, Utah (Interstat) — The unbeaten Snow College Badgers, one of the nation’s top junior college men’s basketball teams, will put their perfect record on the line Saturday when they host the Casper College Thunderbirds.

The game, scheduled for Dec. 13, 2025, features a stark contrast in season trajectories. Snow enters with an 11-0 record across all competitions, while Casper arrives at 5-7. The Badgers have dominated recent meetings, including an 89-73 victory over the Thunderbirds on Nov. 1 earlier this season.

Snow’s success has been fueled by a balanced and powerful attack, with forward Brock McClure emerging as a consistent force. In his last five games, McClure has averaged 15.8 points and 11.4 rebounds, including a 22-point, 14-rebound performance in a 90-49 rout of Hill College on Dec. 6. Sam Sivulich and McCaden Adams have also provided key scoring.

Casper will look to counter with forward Buai Luak, who has been a bright spot during a challenging stretch. Over his last six contests, Luak is averaging 11.0 points and 6.3 rebounds. He posted a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Williston State on Nov. 29.

The Thunderbirds are coming off a split in a two-game series at Utah State Eastern, losing 79-75 on Dec. 6 before winning 65-61 on Dec. 12. Snow has not played since its blowout win at Hill on Dec. 6.

Despite Snow’s dominance, a statistical projection from Interstat’s game simulator anticipates a high-scoring and even contest, predicting a 100-100 final score.

Following this matchup, Snow will prepare to host McCook on Dec. 18. Casper’s next game is not until Jan. 7, 2026, when it hosts Western Nebraska.
