Western Nebraska vs Snow

EPHRAIM, Utah (Interstat) -- The Snow College Badgers showcased their undefeated form with an overwhelming offensive display, defeating the Western Nebraska Cougars 127-91 in a men’s junior college basketball game Friday night.

The game was decided by a dominant first-half performance from the Badgers, who improved to 12-0. Western Nebraska fell to 3-9.

Snow seized control with a blistering 56-point first quarter, immediately putting the Cougars in a deep hole. While Western Nebraska scored a respectable 40 points in the opening period, they trailed by 16 and could never recover. The Badgers extended their lead with a 71-point second quarter, taking a 127-91 advantage into halftime. The game consisted of only two quarters.

The most important part of the game was Snow’s relentless efficiency and rebounding dominance from the opening tip. The Badgers scored 127 points on just 88 possessions, an offensive rating of 143.5, and shot 60% from the floor. They also crushed Western Nebraska on the glass, holding a 48-22 rebounding advantage, including a 16-2 edge on the offensive boards that fueled numerous second-chance opportunities.

Bron Roberts led Snow with 20 points and 11 rebounds in just 17 minutes, a standout performance following several quieter recent games. McCaden Adams added a game-high 26 points. Blake Bahr facilitated the offense with seven assists.

For Western Nebraska, Amare Jackson scored 21 points and Viktor Lukic-Gavric added 17. The Cougars committed 20 turnovers, which Snow converted into easy transition baskets.

The result defied a pregame projection from Interstat’s game simulator, which had forecast a tie. Snow’s ELO rating system gave the Badgers a 91.1% probability to win.

The teams had met earlier this season on Oct. 31, with Snow winning 95-89.

Snow hosts Casper on Saturday. Western Nebraska travels to play Utah State Eastern on Saturday.
