ROSAMOND, Calif. (Interstat) — The Antelope Valley men’s basketball team outlasted Cerro Coso 99-93 in a double-overtime California junior college game Tuesday after the teams were locked in a defensive struggle following a high-scoring first half. The Marauders improved to 2-4 overall, while the Coyotes fell to 0-4. Demarris Day led all scorers with 33 points for Cerro Coso in the losing effort. Antelope Valley built a large early lead, but Cerro Coso mounted a massive second-quarter rally to force a dramatic finish that required two extra periods to decide.
