RIDGECREST, Calif. (Interstat) — Two California junior college men’s basketball teams seeking their first win in nearly two weeks will meet Tuesday when the Antelope Valley Marauders visit the Cerro Coso Coyotes.

Both teams enter the non-conference matchup on losing streaks. The Marauders (1-4) have dropped four straight since a season-opening victory, including a 71-60 home loss to Mount San Antonio on Nov. 14. Antelope Valley was led in that game by Amado Coleman, who posted a double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds, and Mister Burnside, who added 19 points.

The Coyotes (0-3) are coming off a narrow 75-72 home defeat to Santa Barbara on Saturday. Jay Matthews came off the bench to score a team-high 21 points for Cerro Coso, while Terrance Sims Jr. added 14 points.

Despite the teams’ combined 1-7 record, a high-scoring affair is projected. Interstat’s game simulator forecasts a 100-100 final score.

Tuesday’s game is scheduled for a 7 p.m. tipoff at Cerro Coso Community College.
