LOS ANGELES (Interstat) — Two teams in search of their first win of the season will meet Friday when the Orange Coast Pirates face the Los Angeles City Cubs in a California men’s junior college basketball game.

Both teams enter the contest with 0-5 records. The visiting Pirates are coming off a 62-52 home loss to San Diego Miramar on Nov. 13, where Chris Obiajulu led the team with 12 points and six rebounds. Orange Coast has lost its games by an average margin of 25.4 points.

The Cubs are looking to rebound from a narrow 69-66 home loss to Irvine Valley on Nov. 15. In that game, Kye Usher-Brown scored 15 points and dished out six assists, while Devean Mpoupe-Singui nearly recorded a double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds. Los Angeles City’s losses have been by an average of 14.2 points.

Despite the teams’ struggles, a neutral projection suggests a tightly contested matchup. Interstat’s game simulator forecasts a 100-100 final score.

The game is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 21, 2025, in Los Angeles.
