CASPER, Wyo. (Interstat) — The Casper College Thunderbirds and Salt Lake Community College Bruin Bears will meet in a men’s junior college basketball game Friday at the Central Wyoming Classic.

The Thunderbirds (5-5) enter with a .500 record, having won their last two games. They are coming off a 103-92 home victory over Williston State on Nov. 29, powered by high-scoring performances from Zaire Richardson (27 points), Aaron Sievert (24 points) and Buai Luak (20 points, 11 rebounds).

The Bruin Bears (3-6) have struggled for consistency but are riding the momentum of a 102-62 rout of Eastern Wyoming in their most recent outing on Nov. 12. That win snapped a two-game skid for Salt Lake, which has a 1-5 record in road games this season.

Friday’s contest will be the first game for both teams in December. Casper will play at Utah State Eastern the following night, while Salt Lake faces host Central Wyoming on Saturday to continue the classic.
