WILBURTON, Okla. (Interstat) — Two men’s junior college basketball teams seeking momentum will meet Thursday when Grayson visits Eastern Oklahoma State.

The Grayson Vikings (2-9) will face the Eastern Oklahoma State Mountaineers (0-2) in a non-conference rematch from earlier this season. In their first meeting on Nov. 12 in Denison, Texas, Grayson secured an 89-79 home victory.

Grayson enters on a three-game losing streak, most recently falling 82-63 to Howard (Texas) on Saturday. The Vikings’ only wins this season came against Connors State and Eastern Oklahoma State.

The Mountaineers have played just twice this season, with their loss to Grayson followed by a 78-66 home defeat to Collin County on Nov. 6. Thursday’s game marks their first action in over three weeks.

In the November matchup, Grayson’s Roy Henderson III scored 28 points with five rebounds and three assists to lead the Vikings. Thai Bond added six points and seven rebounds.

Following this game, Grayson will travel to face Seminole State (Okla.) on Monday. Eastern Oklahoma State’s next game is at Collin County on Tuesday.
