BORGER, Texas (Interstat) — The Frank Phillips Plainsmen defeated the Trinidad State Trojans 64-44 in a men’s junior college basketball game Tuesday, avenging a close loss from earlier this season.

Frank Phillips built a commanding 64-44 lead by halftime, outscoring Trinidad State 34-21 in the first quarter and 30-23 in the second. The Plainsmen’s defense held firm after the break, with neither team scoring in the second half to account for the final margin.

The win improves Frank Phillips’ record to 4-6. Trinidad State, which beat the Plainsmen 102-100 on Nov. 19, falls to 4-7.
