LOS ANGELES (Interstat) — The Cerritos Falcons, riding a two-game winning streak, will visit the struggling Los Angeles City Cubs in a California men’s junior college basketball game on Wednesday.

Cerritos (2-1) enters the contest following a 69-62 home victory over Ventura last Friday. Kamaury Washington and Dorian Tate each scored 16 points in the win, with Tate adding 10 rebounds for a double-double. The Falcons’ only loss came in a narrow 85-84 road defeat to Chaffey on Oct. 31.

Conversely, Los Angeles City (0-3) is still seeking its first win of the young season. The Cubs are coming off a 64-59 home loss to Santa Barbara on Nov. 5, part of a string of defeats where they have lost by an average of 19 points.

The matchup presents a clear contrast in early-season momentum. The Falcons have found their footing after a season-opening setback, while the Cubs look to regroup and break into the win column on their home court.
