Williston State vs Casper
CASPER, Wyo. (Interstat) — The Williston State Tetons and Casper Thunderbirds, two men’s junior college basketball teams seeking consistency, will face off Saturday at the Swede Erickson Thunderbird Gym.
Williston State (3-3) enters the contest looking to rebound from a 94-76 road loss to Northwest on Nov. 22. Despite the defeat, the Tetons had strong individual performances from Josiah McDonald, who scored 24 points with eight rebounds and six assists, and Eden Hobbs, who added 23 points and seven rebounds. The team’s season has been a series of streaks, sandwiching a two-game winning run between two losses to open the year and the recent defeat.
The Casper Thunderbirds (3-5) are coming off a more positive result, an 82-77 road victory over Central Arizona on Nov. 22. Nasir Washington powered that win with a double-double of 32 points and 11 rebounds, while Zaire Richardson contributed 21 points and five assists. The Thunderbirds’ season has been marked by a challenging early schedule, but the win over Central Arizona snapped a three-game skid.
The matchup pits Williston State’s offensive threats against a Casper team that found its footing in its last outing. McDonald and Hobbs will look to lead the Tetons back to the .500 mark, while Washington and the Thunderbirds aim to build momentum and climb above their current winning percentage.
Tipoff is set for Saturday, Nov. 29, 2025.
