Miles vs Gillette

GILLETTE, Wyo. (Interstat) — The Gillette College Pronghorns will look to avenge an early-season loss when they host the Miles Community College Pioneers in a men’s junior college basketball game on Saturday.

Both teams enter the contest seeking momentum, with Gillette at 1-4 and Miles at 2-4. The Pronghorns’ lone win came against Williston State on Nov. 19, while the Pioneers’ two victories include an 83-75 home win over these same Pronghorns on Nov. 8.

Miles is coming off a 79-73 road loss to Western Nebraska on Monday, despite a strong performance from Azenio Cossa, who posted 29 points and 10 rebounds. Gillette last played on Nov. 22, falling 93-75 to Dawson. Sayed Sayed led the Pronghorns in that contest with 19 points.

Despite the head-to-head result from three weeks ago, Interstat’s ELO system projects Gillette as a significant favorite with a 69.1% probability to win.

The game is the final outing for both teams before a break in their schedules. Miles next plays at North Idaho on Dec. 5, while Gillette hosts Dawson on Dec. 6.
