ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. (Interstat) — Marcus Smith scored 29 points to lead the Cowley Tigers to a 95-89 men’s junior college basketball victory over the Cloud County Thunderbirds on Tuesday night. Al Brooks Jr. recorded a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds for Cloud County in the losing effort. Cowley improved to 4-2 on the season, while Cloud County fell to 4-3. The game was tightly contested, with both teams shooting an identical 8-for-24 from three-point range and finishing with 11 assists and 11 steals apiece.
