SARATOGA, Calif. (Interstat) — The West Valley Vikings defeated the San Diego City Knights 68-55 in a men’s junior college basketball game Friday. West Valley used a potent first-half offensive display, scoring 34 points in each of the first two quarters to build a commanding 68-55 halftime lead. The Vikings’ efficient shooting was the difference, as they connected on 10 of 23 attempts from three-point range. David Manea led West Valley with 16 points, while Dylan Griffin paced San Diego City with 17 points. With the win, West Valley improved to 2-1 on the season, while San Diego City fell to 1-2.
