The Cougars overcame a strong start from the visiting Pioneers, who led 32-33 after a fast-paced first quarter. Western Nebraska pulled away in the second quarter, outscoring Miles 46-41 after halftime to secure the victory. The win improves Western Nebraska’s record to 2-8 on the season, while Miles falls to 2-4. Max Orchard and Xavier Kirkpatrick were key performers for the Cougars in the win.
