COSTA MESA, Calif. (Interstat) — Two California men’s junior college basketball teams seeking their first win of the season will meet Thursday when the Los Angeles Harbor Seahawks face the Orange Coast Pirates.

The Seahawks (0-2) are coming off a narrow 89-86 home loss to Desert on Oct. 31, a game in which they nearly erased a large deficit. The loss preceded a 103-68 road defeat to Mount San Jacinto the day before.

Orange Coast (0-3) looks to rebound from a lopsided 126-68 road loss to Citrus on Tuesday. The Pirates’ other defeats came against Ohlone (81-73) and San Mateo (94-71).

Los Angeles Harbor will rely on a trio of recent scorers, with Chris Obiajulu, Collins Udengwu and Prince Odimegwu all reaching double figures in the loss to Desert. Obiajulu added four rebounds and three blocks.

Both teams will continue a challenging early-season schedule. The Seahawks host San Diego Mesa on Nov. 12, while the Pirates host San Diego Miramar on Nov. 13.
