Midland vs Blinn
BRENHAM, Texas (Interstat) — An undefeated Midland College squad will put its perfect record on the line Friday against a high-scoring Blinn College team in a non-conference men’s junior college basketball matchup.
The Midland Chaparrals (5-0) enter the contest riding a wave of dominant victories, having won each of their games by double digits. Their most recent win was a 72-50 triumph over Lamar State-Port Arthur on Nov. 15.
The Blinn Buccaneers (2-0) are also unbeaten, coming off a potent 100-88 road victory over New Mexico Military Institute on Thursday. The Buccaneers’ offense was fueled by a pair of standout performances: Connor Sprattley scored 28 points and Dashawn Ceaser added 34 points.
Friday’s game at the Blinn P.E. Building will feature a clash of styles, pitting Midland’s consistent, balanced attack against Blinn’s explosive scoring potential. The Chaparrals have averaged 85.8 points per game, while the Buccaneers are averaging 96.0 points through their first two contests.
Both teams face a quick turnaround, as Midland travels to face Southwestern Christian on Saturday, and Blinn heads to Odessa.
