ODESSA, Texas (Interstat) — The Odessa College Wranglers, off to a strong 5-1 start, will host the Southwestern Christian College Rams in a men’s junior college basketball matchup on Thursday at the OC Sports Center.

The game is part of the Wrangler Club Shootout.

Odessa enters the contest riding a two-game winning streak, most recently defeating Panola College 63-44 on Saturday. Their only loss this season came against Hillsborough Community College on Nov. 8.

Southwestern Christian (4-3) looks to rebound from a 75-82 road loss to Panola on Monday. The Rams have shown resilience, with two of their wins coming by three points or fewer, including an overtime victory over Tyler Junior College.

The Wranglers’ defense has been a key to their early success, holding opponents to an average of 62.8 points during their current win streak.

Following this game, Odessa will host Pearl River on Friday, while Southwestern Christian returns home to face Midland College on Saturday.
