(Interstat) — The Laramie County men’s junior college basketball team earned its first victory of the season Tuesday, overcoming a halftime deficit to defeat Northeastern (Colo.) 86-78. The Golden Eagles, now 1-4, outscored the Plainsmen 50-38 in the second half after trailing by two points at the break. Northeastern (Colo.) drops to 0-3 with the loss. The game was a reversal of preseason projections, which had favored Laramie County but predicted a much higher-scoring affair.
