Northeastern (Colo.) vs Laramie County
CHEYENNE, Wyo. (Interstat) — Two teams seeking their first win of the young season will meet Tuesday when the Northeastern (Colo.) Plainsmen face the Laramie County Golden Eagles in a men’s junior college basketball game.
Both teams enter the contest winless. Northeastern is 0-2, while Laramie County sits at 0-4.
The Plainsmen are coming off a 79-65 road loss to Casper on Saturday. In that game, Trevor Thomas recorded a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Keziah Williams added a team-high 18 points.
The Golden Eagles are looking to rebound from an 81-69 defeat against Eastern Arizona, also on Saturday. Karim Elgizawy paced Laramie County with 17 points and five rebounds, and Isaac Fiagbe contributed 14 points and six boards.
Despite the teams’ combined 0-6 record, a high-scoring affair is projected. The Interstat game simulator forecasts a 100-100 final score.
The game will be the first of two meetings between the Region IX rivals this season, with the rematch scheduled for Dec. 13 in Sterling, Colorado.
