Itawamba vs Northeast Mississippi

BOONEVILLE, Miss. (Interstat) — A surging Itawamba squad visits Northeast Mississippi on Monday in a men’s junior college basketball matchup.

The Itawamba Indians (4-3) enter on a three-game winning streak, most recently defeating Lawson State 71-64 on the road Saturday. The Indians’ offense has been potent during this stretch, averaging over 70 points per game.

They will face a Northeast Mississippi Tigers team (1-1) looking to bounce back from a high-scoring 103-95 road loss to Wallace State on Thursday. In that game, Ezekiel Udozorh led the Tigers with 19 points, while Jalen Chandler nearly secured a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds.

The Tigers opened their season with an 82-74 home victory over South Georgia Tech on Nov. 7.

Monday’s contest is the first of two regular-season meetings between the in-state rivals. They are scheduled to meet again at Itawamba on Jan. 15, 2026.

Following this game, Itawamba will host Hinds on Wednesday. Northeast Mississippi will remain at home to face Lawson State that same night.
