CASPER, Wyo. (Interstat) — Aaron Sievert scored 35 points to lead the Casper Thunderbirds to a 79-65 men’s junior college basketball victory over the Northeastern (Colo.) Plainsmen on Saturday. Casper took control with a 40-point first quarter and never trailed. The Thunderbirds shot 46 percent from the floor and made 20 of 25 free throws. Keziah Williams led the Plainsmen with 18 points. Casper improved to 2-3 on the season, while Northeastern fell to 0-2.
