TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Interstat) — The Tallahassee State Eagles remained unbeaten, edging the Santa Fe Saints 81-80 in a men’s junior college basketball game Wednesday. The Eagles improved to 4-0 while the Saints fell to 0-1 in their season opener. Santa Fe mounted a strong second-half charge, outscoring Tallahassee State 51-41 after the break, but the Eagles’ first-half cushion proved just enough to secure the narrow victory. Trey Card led the way for Tallahassee State in the win. Guy Twitty was the top performer for Santa Fe in the losing effort.
