JONES, Miss. (Interstat) — The Jones College Bobcats will open their 2025-26 men’s junior college basketball season at home on Tuesday, Nov. 11, against the Three Rivers Raiders.

The Bobcats, who have not played a competitive game since an 84-73 loss at Panola on March 24, 2024, will face a Three Rivers squad that has found its rhythm after a slow start. The Raiders (2-2) are coming off a 78-66 road victory over Triton this past Saturday.

Guard Matt Hampton powered that win, scoring 21 points and pulling down seven rebounds in 40 minutes of action. He was supported by Antonio Williams, who added 11 points and eight rebounds.

Three Rivers has shown it can score, averaging over 84 points per game, but its two losses came in overtime against John A Logan and Gulf Coast State. The Raiders’ offense will be a significant early test for the Bobcats’ defense.

This contest kicks off a challenging opening stretch for Jones, which will hit the road to face Bishop State on Thursday. Three Rivers will continue its road trip at Wabash Valley on Friday.
