GOODMAN, Miss. (Interstat) — The Holmes Bulldogs will host the Delgado Dolphins in a men’s junior college basketball season opener for both teams on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025.

The game at Holmes Community College marks the first official action for both squads since their narrow postseason losses in the spring of 2024. Delgado last fell 76-70 on the road at Southern-Shreveport on Feb. 28, 2024. Holmes’ most recent contest was a 73-72 home defeat to Jones College on March 14, 2024.

This early-season matchup will be the first of two meetings between the teams in November. They are scheduled for a rematch just over two weeks later on Thursday, Nov. 20, at Delgado in New Orleans.

The contest kicks off a challenging opening stretch for both programs. Following the game, Holmes will embark on a three-game road trip, facing East Mississippi, Baton Rouge and Pearl River. Delgado, after its trip to Goodman, will head to Copiah-Lincoln before playing six of its next seven games at home.

With both teams looking to establish momentum, the in-state matchup provides an immediate test. The Bulldogs will aim to defend their home court, while the Dolphins seek a positive start before their own lengthy homestand.
