Hinds 67, at Holmes 58

GOODMAN, Miss. (Interstat) — The Hinds Eagles defeated the Holmes Bulldogs 67-58 in a men’s junior college basketball game Thursday night. Hinds avenged two close losses to Holmes earlier this season, including a one-point defeat on Feb. 5. The visiting Eagles built a narrow 31-27 halftime lead and maintained control throughout the second half. Holmes, which entered the game with a 16-6 record and was a heavy favorite according to analytics models, could not close the gap despite a team-high 14 points from Isaiah Patrick.
