Midland 86, at Weatherford 77

WEATHERFORD, Texas (Interstat) — The Midland College Chaparrals opened their season with an 86-77 victory over the Weatherford College Coyotes in a men’s junior college basketball game Tuesday night. Midland used a strong first-half offensive performance, outscoring Weatherford 39-37 in the opening quarter and 47-40 in the second to build a lead it would not relinquish.
