Community Christian vs Cochise
DOUGLAS, Ariz. (Interstat) — The Cochise College Apaches and the Community Christian College Saints will face off for the second consecutive day on Saturday, with the Apaches looking for a repeat of their dominant season-opening performance.
In Friday’s matchup, Cochise overwhelmed Community Christian, cruising to a 107-40 victory at home. The lopsided win gives the Apaches immediate momentum as both teams open their men’s junior college basketball schedules.
The Saints will be tasked with finding an answer for a relentless Cochise offense that scored at will in the first meeting. Community Christian’s challenging non-conference slate continues next week with a road game against Lamar State-Port Arthur on Nov. 5.
Cochise, after this two-game homestand against the Saints, will have a break before hosting Laramie County on Nov. 14 as part of a series of home games against out-of-state opponents.
With both teams at 0-0 in official season records, Saturday’s contest offers Community Christian a chance for quick redemption and Cochise an opportunity to build on its explosive start.
