OTTUMWA, Iowa (Interstat) — The Indian Hills Warriors opened their season with a 78-63 men’s junior college basketball victory over the Pratt Beavers on Friday. After a high-scoring first half, the Warriors used a strong defensive effort to pull away for the win. Chiang Ring led Indian Hills with 18 points and seven rebounds, while Ajieth “AJ” Akot paced Pratt with 10 points and nine rebounds. The loss drops Pratt to 0-1 to start the season. Indian Hills improved to 1-0 and is scheduled to host Cloud County on Saturday. Pratt’s next game is at New Mexico on Nov. 9.
