Georgetown Edges Lindsey Wilson in Tight NAIA Men’s Basketball Contest
COLUMBIA, Ky. (Interstat) — The Georgetown Tigers held off the Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders 81-77 in a men’s NAIA basketball game Thursday night.
Bubba Leavell led all scorers with 25 points for Georgetown, which avenged a loss from earlier this month. Victory Naboya paced the Blue Raiders with 21 points and three blocks.
The Tigers, who improved to 18-7, never trailed after halftime despite being outshot from the floor. Georgetown secured the win with perfect 13-for-13 free-throw shooting and a plus-six rebounding advantage. Lindsey Wilson fell to 15-10 despite a more efficient shooting night, hampered by 10 turnovers.
