FOREST CITY, Iowa (Interstat) — Doane avenged a January loss with a decisive 95-67 victory over Waldorf in NAIA men’s basketball Saturday at Hanson Fieldhouse. The Tigers, led by Trevon Beckman’s 24 points, dominated from the start, building a 12-point halftime lead and cruising to the win.

Doane’s defense was stifling, forcing 19 turnovers and converting them into easy offense. The Tigers shot 56.5% from the floor and dished out 15 assists. Waldorf, which got 19 points from Conner Aldridge, struggled with efficiency, committing more turnovers than assists.

The win improved Doane to 8-14 overall, while Waldorf fell to 3-20. The Tigers’ victory flipped the result of the teams’ prior meeting on Jan. 10, when the Warriors secured an 83-82 win.
