TYLER, Texas (Interstat) — Jordan Hicks scored 26 points to lead Paul Quinn to a 115-109 overtime victory over Dillard in a high-octane NAIA men’s basketball game Thursday night at Gus F. Taylor Gymnasium.

The Tigers, who improved to 4-7, survived a combined 63 points from Dillard’s Ben Fort and Tyler Wiley. The game required an extra period after a frenetic regulation that saw Paul Quinn lead 60-38 after a first-quarter shootout, only for Dillard to rally.

Paul Quinn capitalized at the free-throw line, making 37 of 52 attempts, and forced overtime despite committing 25 turnovers. Dillard, which fell to 5-7, shot just 35 of 87 from the floor and was outrebounded 59-49.
