Xavier Edges Marquette in Big East Tournament Thriller at Madison Square Garden

NEW YORK (Interstat) — Xavier survived a late push from Marquette for an 89-87 victory in a Big East Conference tournament game Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden. The teams were tied 38-38 at halftime before the Musketeers outscored the Golden Eagles 51-49 in a frantic second half. The win improved Xavier to 15-17 this season, while Marquette fell to 12-20.
