CHARLOTTE, N.C. (Interstat) — Aiden Tobiason scored 15 points and Jordan Mason added 18 as Temple edged Charlotte 76-73 in an American Athletic Conference men’s basketball game Tuesday night at Halton Arena.

The Owls led 36-30 at halftime and withstood a second-half push from the 49ers. Charlotte’s Anton Bonke scored a game-high 20 points, and Arden Conyers added 16, including two late 3-pointers that tightened the score. Derrian Ford contributed 17 points for Temple.

Charlotte, which fell to 6-8, had a chance to tie in the final seconds but could not get a clean look. Temple improved to 9-5. Attendance was 2,342.
